Frequently Asked Questions

Is Café Mama a daycare or drop-off childcare?

No. Café Mama offers onsite child watch while you use our coworking space. A parent or responsible adult remains onsite and reachable throughout the entire session.

What ages is child watch for?

Our onsite child watch space is designed for independently walking little ones ages 18 months–5 years.

Have a younger baby? Babies under 18 months are welcome to stay with you in the Mama space. And because we know babies don’t exactly respect your calendar, Café Mama staff will be nearby to lend an extra set of hands when available—whether that’s holding your little one while you finish a call, send an email, or just need a few minutes with both hands free.

Think of it as a little extra support while baby stays close to you.

Can I leave during my session?

No. Café Mama is a parent-on-premises concept, so you’ll remain onsite in the coworking lounge while your child is in child watch.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. Child watch spaces are intentionally limited, so sessions should be reserved in advance.

Where is Café Mama located?

We’re working toward our permanent Café Mama home in McKinney, Texas.
